On 15 July 2017, FAE organized a Strategic Planning Workshop in Arusha City in order to develop a three year Strategic Plan, extending from 2018 to 2021. The Workshop was attended by the FAE Board Members, the Management Team, representatives from the rural communities, Hai District Council and other Non Governmental Organizations such as Ereto East Africa Foundation. FAE‘s 2018-2021 Strategic Plan was then developed through an intensive three-stage process: first, an internal review to assess the strategic issues to be addressed; then, a stakeholder workshop which performed political, economic, social and technological (PEST) analysis that informed on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) of FAE’s activities; and finally, the drafting of the plan and approval by the Board. Strategic recommendations were efficiently provided through this common brainstorming approach.
The Board approved the Plan on 21st January 2018 sparking off the implementation process. We hugely appreciate the inputs from the workshop participants and for the relationships they have fostered. Click below to read our Strategic Plan and how you can be involved.
