  1. Introduction

The following Privacy Policy describes (a) how the Foundation for African Empowerment (FAE) collects personal information regarding the use of its website (www.thefae.org), the information provided to it in general as well as (b) the choices available regarding the use of any personally identifiable information, its access, update and process. The Privacy Policy is key to understand FAE’s practices.

The Policy is updated on regular basis. The latest version is always published on FAE’s website. The current Policy was last updated on 22 January 2018.

  1. Potentially collected Information

While navigating on FAE’s website, the user may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information that could be used for his/her direct contact or identification. Personally identifiable information may include his/her name, email address, phone number, country and postal address. This information is required for the subscription to FAE newsletter or the filling of the donation form.

FAE’s Use of Cookies

They also enable FAE to see information such as the number of website’s users and the most visited pages. While FAE strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect any Personal Information, it cannot guarantee its absolute security. FAE’s website may contain links to other websites.  Please be aware that FAE is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. FAE encourages users to be aware and to read the privacy policies of every website that collects personally identifiable information.  The Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected on the general website.

  1. Changes to FAE’s privacy policy

The Privacy Policy is effective as of 22 January 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

As FAE’s Privacy Policy should be reviewed periodically, the organization reserves the right to update or change it at any time without advance notice. Users’ continued use of the Service after any modifications posted to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute their acknowledgment of the modifications and consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
